The Gloucester International Pipe and Tabor Festival 2001

Friday 28th September

The festival started with a minibus tour of local pipe and tabor iconography: 

A visit to the beautiful 18th century music room at Highnam House,   which has intriguing plaster mouldings on the walls  featuring a variety of instruments.

Visits to Tewksbury Abbey and Malvern Priory and Gloucester Cathedral to see the stained glass and Roof Bosses ..... and to play.

Tewksbury Abbey has a wonderful 14th century roof boss,  Malvern Priory a fine stained glass window and Gloucester Cathedral two 14th century sculptures and a 19th century stained glass window.
